Eberron: Thirteenth Moon
Common Magic Items
The magic items described on this page are easily available for purchase at the listed price in almost any town in Khorvaire. They are mass-produced by the magewrights of House Cannith, and are guaranteed for quality. Cheaper versions can be acquired too…
Wand, common – 100 gp or less
While you hold this wand, you can use an action to expend 1 of its 3 charges to cast a first level spell without using any components. The spell you can cast with this wand is chosen at the time this wand is created.
Your spellcasting ability modifier is treated as 0 for the purposes of this spell. If the spell is on your class spell list, you may apply your proficiency bonus, where applicable. You cast the spell as if you used a 1st-level spell slot.
The wand regains 1 expended charge each day at dawn. Before you use a charge, roll a number of d10s equal to the charges remaining in the wand. If all of the dice you roll come up as a 1, the wand crumbles to dust and is useless after the spell is cast.
Spell Scroll, cantrip
Scroll, common – 25 gp or less
Spell Scroll, 1st level
Scroll, common – 50 gp or less
A spell scroll bears the magical words of a single spell, written in a mystical cipher. Using an action to read the scroll allows you to cast the spell without components. If the spell written on the scroll appears on your class’s spell list, and the spell’s level is one that you can normally cast, you cast the spell successfully. Otherwise, you must make an Intelligence (Arcana) check to see if you can successfully cast it. The DC equals 10 plus the spell’s level. Whether or not you are able to cast the spell successfully, the spell scroll crumbles to dust after being used. If applicable, the saving throw DC of the spell is 13, and the attack bonus is +5.
Potion of Healing
Potion, common – 50 gp
You regain 2d4+2 hit points when you spend an action to drink this potion. You may spend an action to administer the potion to another character.
Consumable, nonmagic – 25 gp
This creates the effect of a fog cloud spell, with the following changes: The range is reduced to 30 feet, and the duration is reduced to 1 minute.
Wondrous item, uncommon – 2000 gp
Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone carved to match the other so the pairing is easily recognized. While you touch one stone, you can use an action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone and don’t cast the spell.
Once sending is cast through the stones, they can’t be used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes nonmagical.
